Located on a small wooded mound, about 290 meters above sea level, it is a very popular spot for hikers.
On a clear day it offers spectacular views of the Arousa estuary, Ons Island, O Grove isthmus, and even the Barbanza mountain range and the Salnés valley.
On the viewpoint there is a monument to the victims of the sea in the form of a large cross and a plaque from the British Admiralty that commemorates the sailors who died in the sinking of the training ship “Serpent”.
It is a very popular point for hikers who include in their routes the passage through this viewpoint and the neighboring Faro das Lúas.
